 Disqus has changed the rules. When a user blocks you not only they no longer see your post but you can't see theirs. This creates a unique problem for mods.

As a mod you can still see their posts in the mod panel but not in the blog comments. This is a huge problem in modding.

My solution is to make a rule that blocking mods is disallowed. Anyone doing so after being warned is banned.
